hmm.. it's the second last night of december... also.. 2008!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
i'm even more scared and frighten by the thought of getting older... *sobS*
Actually.. i'm very scared of growing old.. I want to put the fear off me.. but it's hard..
God! Help Me!
Unexpectedly, i know he can... but then.. sobs again... it's my faith... it's stronger than it used to be.. but... i'm guessing it's still not strong enough for me to confess of my sin openly... getting baptist...
i would really like it.. the thought just thrills me.. reminds me of the song...
*Teenager, Teenager...*
hmm... i really wanted to go Ice-skating tomorrow.. but then... God's will.. not going..
also.. i'm guessing everyone's trying to make their resolutions for the new year...
so.. let me not bother you...
i made a post on that few days ago.. so..
make your resolutions wisely...
another so..
So.. have a good day... take care.. God Bless.. bye bye.. till the next time..

vulgar.. yes, obsence, yes... Godly, abit, goody, no!
So... having a blog is huge responsibility.. now that the nations are quite aware of the influence we bloggers can have on our readers... making our posts neautral or pro-government has always been the best thing to do... argh!
That's crap! All those political-blogs are really hm.. what's the word? i won't say it.. think of it yourself... so.. conclusion.. bloggers have huge responsibility... but.. don't get yourseld stressed out.. we willingly created our own blog.. so.. my as well enjoy and do it as properly as you can...

I know.. I know..
Actually... i think.. I feel.. I think i know that.. my blog's a bit boring... as if.. nothing worth reading? nothing interesting... yeah?
hmm.. i think.. also!..
that now the year's almost up..
and a new one is coming..
everyone is making resolutions.. which!
i doubt.. will ever work out..
so.. still thinking of feasible resolutions to make?
don't.. before even making up useless resolutions.. why not think of how to be a better person by just willing them..? instead of having to make up plans and resolutions to actually change yourself?
doubting yourself?
Be The Man !
Do The Right Thing!
Man here means human being..
Being right will mean.. doing the right thing.. also.. be right the right way..
anyway.. i think.. again?... this is all crap... haha.. good day! merry christmas and a happy new year..

The Reason...
With a few weeks before Christmas REMEMBER: Jesus is Better than Santa!
Santa lives at the North Pole.
JESUS is everywhere.
Santa rides in a sleigh
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.
Santa comes but once a year
JESUS is an ever present help.
Santa fills your stockings with goodies
JESUS supplies all your needs.
Santa comes down your chimney uninvited
JESUS stands at your door and knocks. And then enters your heart.
You have to stand in line to see Santa
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.
Santa lets you sit on his lap
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.
Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is"Hi little boy or girl,
What's your name?"
JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He
knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows
how many hairs are on our heads.
Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly
JESUS has a heart full of love.
All Santa can offer is HO HO HO
JESUS offers health, help and hope.
Santa says "You better not cry"
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you."
Santa's little helpers make toys
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts,repairs broken homes and
builds mansions.
Santa may make you chuckle but ...
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.
While Santa puts gifts under your tree ...
JESUS became our gift and died on the tree.
It's obvious there is really no comparison. While there is nothing WRONG
with Santa, we need to remember WHO Christmas is all about. We need to
put Christ back in Christmas. Jesus is still the reason for the season.
May the Lord Bless and Watch over you and your loved ones this Christmas
2008. And may He prosper and bless the work of your hands in the New
Year.

It's Christmas.. Is it not?
I could still remembered last Christmas...
the one in 2007.
I remembered wearing my pink long sleaved shirt, with the custum made vest...
haha... just a few days before i was packed off to NS....
It was my last time at church before going for NS - which i hated.. (i thought of it as a waste of time.. but, God's will... God's will...)
So, I accepted it...
Er... coming back to now..
haha... i got 5 same messages from Sharon... Choo... It was the first thing that happened to me today.... also.. i got a message from Eunice Liu.. she wanted to join the christmas celebration.. well.. so okay.. i got her from the K.T.M station.. and off we were to church...
Service... was as normal... so very God blessed... Ps. Kek preached in English and Ps.Ho translated to Chinese...
after service.. we had lunch.. there was really A LOT of FOOD!!!
i heard the egg tart was good... but I didn't try them.. no idea why..
hmm.. after that.. we hanged out in church.. tidied and cleaned up the church...
Uncle Basil and family, Shimron's,hmm and many many more..
after that.. we went to The Mines... some of us played pool i cant tell the difference betweem snooker, pool, 8/9 ball.. and Who Knows What Else....
er.. Then they headed off to the cinema.. *sigh*.. i wasn't able to joined them.. was already late for something.... so i went back...
There was a BBQ party at Yiyi's house.. it rained.. T.T it always rained when we have our bbq... don't know why..
er.. let's skip that part...
hmmm. i was supposed to make Lasagna.. for the second time... i followed everything Aunt. Linda told me.. more cheese.. dryer sauce.. i didn't have time to soften the lasagna sheet in boiling water.. but anyway.. it turn out quite nice.. rather satisfied with the result.. thanks to the Holy Father for everything..
hm.. we had lot's of stuff... bacon, ham, sweet sausages... really good.. squids, prawns... woo-hoo... my mom made coleslaw... i made lasagna, there was sushi,hm.. marinated chicken wings... everything was good.. Amen.
so here I am.. typing this post.. and also missing my friends.. especially the one's from church... and youth camp... *sigh*
also.. I want to wish everyone A Blessed Christmas and A Happy New Year...

A letter from the Saviour...(i wonder where they got all this stuff.. it's really good)
Dear Friend,
As you got up this morning, i watched you and hoped that you would talk to me even if it was just a few words, asking me opinion or thanking me fr something good that heppened in your life. But i noticed you were too busy trying to find the right outfit to wear to work.
I waited again. When you ran around the house getting ready, I knew there would be a few minutes for you to stop and say hello, but you were too busy. At one point you had to wait fifteen minutes with noting to do except sit on a chair. Then i saw you spring to your feet. I thought you wanted to talk to me, but you ran to the phone and called a friend to get the latest gossips.
I watched as you went to work and I waited patiently all day long. With all your activities I guess you were too busy to say anything to me. I noticed that before lunch you looked aournd, maybe felt embarrassed to talk to me and that is why you didn't bow your head. You glanced three or four tables over and noticed some of your friends talking to me briefly before they ate, but you didn't. that's okay. there is still time left, and I have hope that you will talk to me even yet.
You went home and it seems as if you had lots of things to do. After a few of them were done you turned on the TV. I don't know if I like the TV or not, just about anything goes there and you spend a lot of time each day in front of it not thinking about anything but the show. I waited patiently again as you watched TV an ate your meal, but again you didn't talk to me. As you did your paperwork I waited again while you did what you had to do.
At bedtime, i guess you felt too tired. After you said goodnight to your family you plopped into bed and fell asleep in no time. That's okay because you may not realise that I always there for you. Ive got patience more than you will ever know. i even want to teach you how to be patient with others as well. Because I love you so much, a long time ago I left a wonderfull place called Heaven and came to Earth. I gave it up so that I be ridiculed. And I even died so you wouldn't have to take my place.
I love you so much that I waited eveyday for a nod, a prayer, a thought or a heartfelt thank you. It is hard to have a one-sided conversation.
Well, you are about to wake up and once again, I will wait with nothing but love for you, hoping today will give me some time. Have a nice day.
Your Friend,
Jesus Christ.

I got it from the camp book.. it's quite nice.. and true...?
Devil's Beastitudes
Blessed are those who are too tired, busy or disorganixed to meet with fellow Chritsians on Sundays each week.
Their hearts are not in it.
Blessed are those who enjoy noticing the mannerism of clergy and choir.
Their hearts are not in it.
Blessed are those Christians who wait to be asked and expect to be thanked.
I can use them.
Blessed are the touchy.
with a bit of luck they may even stop going to church.
They are my missionaries.
Blessed are those who claim to love God at the same time as hating other people.
They are mine forever.
Blessed are the troublemakers.
They shall be called my children.
Blessed are those who have no time to pray.
They are easy prey for me.
Blessed are you when you read this and think it is about other people and no about yourself.
I've got you.

Yuck! Disgusting!
ok.. i recieved this mail from Ps. Andrew..
and LOOK!
it's really gross...

and LOOK!
it's really gross...

Her name is Han Mi Ok, a Korean celebrity who became known as 'Fan Lady' after her disastrous cosmetic surgery. She underwent 15 reconstructive surgery to overhaul her 'I-don't-think-it-can-be-fix' plastic surgery damage. She apparently became obsessed or addicted to plastic surgery. She even personally performed a facial injection at home. The result…. well you can see it.
She used to look like this before the cosmetic surgery disaster:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Done.. that's that.. we'll leave it as such...
hm.. today's sunday.. so.. i went to the church...
it was nice.. at least i could lessen the feeling of lost...
saw michelle, kendra, jessica and aaron.. + aarony... haha..
i just want to spend the rest of my life in church... ain't that nice?
STROKE
Blood Clots/Stroke - They Now Have a Fourth Indicator, theTongue.
I will continue to forward this every time it comes around!
STROKE: Remember The 1st Three Letters....S.T.R.
My nurse friend sent this and encouraged me to post it and spread the word.
I agree.
If everyone can remember something this simple, we could save some folks.
Seriously..
Please read:
STROKE IDENTIFICATION:
During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone
that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) .......she said she had
just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes.
They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared
a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening
Ingrid's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had bee n taken
to the hospital - (at 6:00 pm Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke
at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps
Ingrid would be with us today. Some don't die.... they end up in a helpless,
hopeless condition instead.
It only takes a minute to read this...
A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours
he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said
the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting
the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.
RECOGNIZING A STROKE
Thank God for the sense to remember the '3' steps, STR . Read
and Learn!
Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately,
the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe
brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.
Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple
questions:
S *Ask the individual to SMILE.
T *Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently)
(i.e. It is sunny out today)
R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.
If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks,
call 911 immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.
New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your Tongue
NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out
his tongue.. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the
other, that is also an indication of a stroke.
A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to
10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.
I will continue to forward this every time it comes around!
Right after that we had our second movie... i cant recall the name but it's about the Zachariah and his wife, Elizibeth. Mary and Joseph, how God willed everything to be at place for the birth of Christ Jesus...
I think i'm out of vocaulary on how to start a sentence... I've been using "after that" alot!
In the afternoon, we had TELEMATCH, well.. having telematches are one of the 'tradition' of having a camp... ok la.. lets come back...
er.. we had tug-a-war.. USING water hose! haha.. topped with having the hose and the floor soaped! it was fun.. i fell got my knee scratched and infected.. i had pus on it afterwards.. ewww
after dinner, we were briefed on our presentation.. i really love the way they did it this year... compared to the older camps.. this is really good...
they had us discuss our presentation in one and a half hours... all the thinking, brain-storming, cracking the head for stories... haha.. at least it as better then having to do it on the first day , second day with nothing, ok la.. maybe a bit, and cracking the head and preparing it from morning till the time of presentation... i mean.. isn't it stresfull?
To cut the long story short.. we, as in us, all campers, created, prepared and wrapped up everything in one and a half hour.. it was really fruitfull...
hah!
after that.. each group did their presentation.. which was ah, beyond words... i'm just lazy to explain every single detail...
well.. after which was campfire time..
which, having a camp fire and sitting around it with nothing to do except either to star-gaze or fire gazing... *sigh*
after some moment of boredom.. we, some of use, got the guitar and start playing and singing.. having a merry time.. we sang and sang .. and sang.. hahaa..... and wondered back to our hmmm.. place we were staying... and went our separate ways. everyone had their own happy time... games, ping pong, cards, chat group, singing, and some others...
blah, blah, blah and it was morning! *sobs*
I had a couple hours of shut-eye... and was off to devotion... yeah.. i didn't know how i managed it.. but Thank God I did...
followed by the Q & A session.. i didn't really got my question answer.. I don't think I asked it properly... well.. never mind.. i still have many other opportunity to ask it...
We, us all, packed and cleaned the place up and after Lunch, we were home-bound... *sigh* there goes it.. all the excitement has come to the end...
The end..
The - Us.. wahaha...
Just a Thought...
i was wondering... what would have happened 'if' i did this and 'if i did that?
would my life be better?
I know this is often ask by any individuals..
but still.. we ask...
it's not wrong.. and yet.. not right either..
guess that's just being a normal human.... always so full of question... "Why?", "What?", "How?", "When?", "Where?".. and "Huh?"
yeah... that's us... oh yeah.. there's also the "what if?" ARGH!
wanna know when u guys will ask these kind of question? well.. i've notice that ONLY when we have nothing to do... these kind of stuffs will come to us by itself...
THAT'S WHY... humans should never be alone...
err.. it's just an opinion... so.. err.. i guess i'll just sign off here...
CIAO!
A TEENAGER'S VIEW OF HEAVEN
I recieved this through mail... very touching... happened quite recently too...
copy and pass it on if u like it.... and if u believe... ~~
It also was the last.
Brian Moore died May 27, 1997, the day after Memorial Day. He was driving home from a friend's house when his car went off Bulen-Pierce Road in Pickaway County and struck a utility pole. He emerged from the wreck unharmed but stepped on a downed power line and was electrocuted.
The Moores framed a copy of Brian's essay and hung it among the family portraits in the living room. 'I think God used him to make a point. I think we were meant to find it and make something out of it,' Mrs. Moore said of the essay. She and her husband want to share their son's vision of life after death. 'I'm happy for Brian. I know he's in heaven. I know I'll see him.'
Brian's Essay: The Room...
In that place between wakefulness and dreams, I found myself in the room. There were no distinguishing features except for the one wall covered with small index card files. They were like the ones in libraries that list titles by author or subject in alphabetical order. But these files, which stretched from floor to ceiling and seemingly endless in either direction, had very different headings.
As I drew near the wall of files, the first to catch my attention was one that read 'Girls I have liked.' I opened it and began flipping through the cards. I quickly shut it, shocked to realize that I recognized the names written on each one. And then without being told, I knew exactly where I was.
This lifeless room with its small files was a crude catalog system for my life.
Here were written the actions of my every moment, big and small, in a detail my memory couldn't match. A sense of wonder and curiosity, coupled with horror, stirred within me as I began randomly opening files and exploring their content. Some brought joy and sweet memories; others a sense of shame and regret so intense that I would look over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching.
A file named 'Friends' was next to one marked 'Friends I have betrayed.'
The titles ranged from the mundane to the outright weird 'Books I Have Read, 'Lies I Have Told,' 'Comfort I have Given,' 'Jokes I Have Laughed at.'
Some were almost hilarious in their exactness: 'Things I've yelled at my brothers.' Others I couldn't laugh at: 'Things I Have Done in My Anger', 'Things I Have Muttered Under My Breath at My Parents.' I never ceased to be surprised by the contents.
Often there were many more cards than I expected. Sometimes fewer than I hoped.
I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the life I had lived. Could it be possible that I had the time in my years to fill each of these thousands or even millions of cards? But each card confirmed this truth. Each was written in my own handwriting. Each signed with my signature
When I pulled out the file marked 'TV Shows I have watched', I realized the files grew to contain their contents. The cards were packed tightly, and yet after two or three yards, I hadn't found the end of the file. I shut it, shamed, not so much by the quality of shows but more by the vast time
I knew that file represented.
When I came to a file marked 'Lustful Thoughts,' I felt a chill run through my body. I pulled the file out only an inch, not willing to test its size and drew out a card. I shuddered at its detailed content.
I felt sick to think that such a moment had been recorded. An almost animal rage broke on me. One thought dominated my mind: No one must ever see these cards! No one must ever see this room! I have to destroy them!' In insane frenzy I yanked the file out. Its size didn't matter now. I had to empty it and burn the cards. But as I took it at one end and began pounding it on the floor, I could not dislodge a single card. I became desperate and pulled out a card, only to find it as strong as steel when I tried to tear it.
Defeated and utterly helpless, I returned the file to its slot. Leaning my forehead against the wall, I let out a long, self-pitying sigh. And then I saw it.. The title bore 'People I Have Shared the Gospel With.' The handle was brighter than those around it,seemed newer, almost unused. I pulled on its handle and a small box not more than three inches long fell into my hands. I could count the cards it contained on one hand.
And then the tears came. I began to weep. Sobs so deep that they hurt. They started in my stomach and shook through me. I fell on my knees and cried.
I cried out of shame, from the overwhelming shame of it all. The rows of file shelves swirled in my tear-filled eyes. No one must ever, ever know of this room. I must lock it up and hide the key.
No, please not Him. Not here. Oh, anyone but Jesus. I watched helplessly as He began to open the files and read the cards. I couldn't bear to watch His response. And in the moments I could bring myself to look at His face, I saw a sorrow deeper than my own.
He seemed to intuitively go to the worst boxes. Why did He have to read every one? Finally He turned and looked at me from across the room. He looked at me with pity in His eyes. But this was a pity that didn't anger me. I dropped my head, covered my face with my hands and began to cry again.
He walked over and put His arm around me. He could have said so many things.
But He didn't say a word. He just cried with me.
Then He got up and walked back to the wall of files. Starting at one end of the room, He took out a file and, one by one, began to sign His name over mine on each card. 'No!' I shouted rushing to Him.
All I could find to say was 'No, no,' as I pulled the card from Him. His name shouldn't be on these cards. But there it was, written in red so rich, so dark, so alive. The name of Jesus covered mine. It was written with His blood. He gently took the card back. He smiled a sad smile and began to sign the cards. I don't think I'll ever understand how He did it so quickly, but the next instant it seemed I heard Him close the last file and walk back to my side.
He placed His hand on my shoulder and said, 'It is finished.' I stood up, and He led me out of the room. There was no lock on its door. There were still cards to be written.
'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.' - Phil. 4:13 'For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.'
17-year-old Brian Moore had only a short time to write something for a class. The subject was what Heaven was like. 'I wowed 'em,' he later told his father, Bruce. 'It's a killer. It's the bomb. It's the best thing I ever wrote..'It also was the last.
Brian Moore died May 27, 1997, the day after Memorial Day. He was driving home from a friend's house when his car went off Bulen-Pierce Road in Pickaway County and struck a utility pole. He emerged from the wreck unharmed but stepped on a downed power line and was electrocuted.
I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the life I had lived. Could it be possible that I had the time in my years to fill each of these thousands or even millions of cards? But each card confirmed this truth. Each was written in my own handwriting. Each signed with my signature
When I pulled out the file marked 'TV Shows I have watched', I realized the files grew to contain their contents. The cards were packed tightly, and yet after two or three yards, I hadn't found the end of the file. I shut it, shamed, not so much by the quality of shows but more by the vast time
I knew that file represented.
When I came to a file marked 'Lustful Thoughts,' I felt a chill run through my body. I pulled the file out only an inch, not willing to test its size and drew out a card. I shuddered at its detailed content.
I felt sick to think that such a moment had been recorded. An almost animal rage broke on me. One thought dominated my mind: No one must ever see these cards! No one must ever see this room! I have to destroy them!' In insane frenzy I yanked the file out. Its size didn't matter now. I had to empty it and burn the cards. But as I took it at one end and began pounding it on the floor, I could not dislodge a single card. I became desperate and pulled out a card, only to find it as strong as steel when I tried to tear it.
Defeated and utterly helpless, I returned the file to its slot. Leaning my forehead against the wall, I let out a long, self-pitying sigh. And then I saw it.. The title bore 'People I Have Shared the Gospel With.' The handle was brighter than those around it,seemed newer, almost unused. I pulled on its handle and a small box not more than three inches long fell into my hands. I could count the cards it contained on one hand.
And then the tears came. I began to weep. Sobs so deep that they hurt. They started in my stomach and shook through me. I fell on my knees and cried.
I cried out of shame, from the overwhelming shame of it all. The rows of file shelves swirled in my tear-filled eyes. No one must ever, ever know of this room. I must lock it up and hide the key.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
But then as I pushed away the tears, I saw Him.No, please not Him. Not here. Oh, anyone but Jesus. I watched helplessly as He began to open the files and read the cards. I couldn't bear to watch His response. And in the moments I could bring myself to look at His face, I saw a sorrow deeper than my own.
He seemed to intuitively go to the worst boxes. Why did He have to read every one? Finally He turned and looked at me from across the room. He looked at me with pity in His eyes. But this was a pity that didn't anger me. I dropped my head, covered my face with my hands and began to cry again.
He walked over and put His arm around me. He could have said so many things.
But He didn't say a word. He just cried with me.
Then He got up and walked back to the wall of files. Starting at one end of the room, He took out a file and, one by one, began to sign His name over mine on each card. 'No!' I shouted rushing to Him.
All I could find to say was 'No, no,' as I pulled the card from Him. His name shouldn't be on these cards. But there it was, written in red so rich, so dark, so alive. The name of Jesus covered mine. It was written with His blood. He gently took the card back. He smiled a sad smile and began to sign the cards. I don't think I'll ever understand how He did it so quickly, but the next instant it seemed I heard Him close the last file and walk back to my side.
He placed His hand on my shoulder and said, 'It is finished.' I stood up, and He led me out of the room. There was no lock on its door. There were still cards to be written.
'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.' - Phil. 4:13 'For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.'
I miss...
my love,
my family,
my friends,
my children,
my head,
my God,
my books,
my death,
my time,
my coffin,
my darkness,
my flowers,
my dreams,
my misses...
*sigh*
they've been gone for quite a while now...
how long do i have to wait for their return...?
Life...
I would gladly give up living...
If!... i could have it my way....
but life's not about me....
so that's that...
i have to continue living.... on borrowed time.. to the very best...
i dream.. but then.. it'll be all but a dream...
i hope... also... it'll be all nothing but a hope..
so.. my life is practically not mine...
i just wanna bide my time... take everything slowly and comfortably...
i see life moving like a walking tortoise.... every pace and step so carefull and stable...
but sometimes.. it could really fly... no joke..
i can't really crap much... i'm tired....
my stamina's not return after the sickness.. i have to gain it back... slowly but surely..
i do wish i would sleep and never wake up... that would be nice....
to be able to disconnect from this world... a world God created, but ruined by humans....
HUMPH! story? that's me these days.... waiting for my dearest to come back to me is turning my desprate and gloomy...
live.. live for the ones you love.. for them only.. live your live...
shhh... he's sleeping....
Judge Gently
Judge Gently
Pray don't find fault with the man that limps,
Or stumbles along the road,
Unless you have worn the shoes he wears,
Or struggled beneath his load.
There may be tacks in his shoes tha thurt,
Tho' hidden away from view,
Or the burden he bears placed on your back.
Might cause you to stumble too.
Dont' sneer at the man who's down today,
Unless you have felt the blow
That caused his fall, or felt the shame,
That only the fallen know.
You may be strong, but still the blows
That were his, if felt by you,
In the selfsame way, at the selfsame time,
Might cause you to stagger too.
Don't be too harsh with the man that sins,
Or pelt him with word or stone,
Unless you are sure, yea doubly sure,
That you have no sins of your own.
For you know, perhaps, if the tempter's voice,
Should it wisper as soft to you,
As it did to him when he went astray,
It might cause you to falter too.
~Auther Unknown~
"Brethen, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual,
restore such an one in the spirit of meekness - considering thyself,
lest thous also be tempted" Galatians 6 : 1
Who would have thought....
Who would have thought that life would be so hard...?
so though...
so difficult...
living is probably one of the human being's most difficult job...
we don't know when death would come knocking on our doors... or maybe just meet somewhere unexpected... on the way to work? in the bathroom...
my motive is....
life's too short.. why should we live with burden of regret, anger, dissapointment..?
*sigh*
look...
i'm actually talking about this.. when my whole life has been revolving around the burden i mentioned above...
it's easier said than to actually do it...
well.. i can at least try... to forgive myself of what others have forgiven...
forget what everyone's forgotten...
throw away what everyone dumped ...
and move on like what everyone is doing.. looking forward to a new and better life...
there's always dreams and hopes and God to guide you in life..
why not?
it would'a been nicer that way.. to live life without regrets
Nice One.. sent to me by my cousin
I knew a gurl that was so stupid that.......
she called me to get my phone number.
she spent 20 minutes looking at the orange juice box because it said "concentrate."
she put lipstick on her forehead because she wanted to make up her mind.
she tried to put M&M's in alphabetical order.
she sent me a fax with a stamp on it.
she tried to drown a fish.
she thought a quarterback was a refund.
she got locked in a grocery store and starved to death.
she tripped over a cordless phone.
she took a ruler to bed to see how long she slept.
she asked for a price check at the Dollar Store.
she studied for a blood test.
she thought Meow Mix was a CD for cats.
when she heard that 90% of all crimes occur around the home, she moved.
when she missed the 44 bus, she took the 22 bus twice instead.
when she took you to the airport and saw a sign that said "Airport Left" she turned around and went homeMan she STUPID!!!!!!!!
Cikgu B.M
Murid : Selamat pagi, cikgu.
Cikgu : (Menengking) Mengapa selamat pagi sahaja? Petang dan malam awak doakan saya tak selamat?
Murid : Selamat pagi, petang dan malam cikgu!
Cikgu : Panjang sangat! Tak pernah dibuat oleh orang! Kata selamat sejahtera! Senang dan penuh bermakna. Lagipun ucapan ini meliputi semua masa dan keadaan.
Murid : Selamat sejahtera cikgu!
Cikgu : Sama-sama, duduk! Dengar sini baik-baik. Hari ini cikgu nak uji kamu semua tentang perkataan berlawan. Bila cikgu sebutkan perkataannya, kamu semua mesti menjawab dengan cepat, lawan bagi perkataan-perkataan itu, faham?
Murid : Faham, cikgu!
Cikgu : Saya tak mahu ada apa-apa gangguan.
Murid : (senyap)
Cikgu : Pandai!
Murid : Bodoh!
Murid : Ini ialah jawapan, pandai!
Cikgu : Mati aku!
Murid : Hidup kami!
Cikgu : Rotan baru tau!
Murid : Akar lama tak tau!
Cikgu : Malas aku ajar kamu!
Murid : Rajin kami belajar cikgu!
Cikgu : Kamu gila!
Murid : Kami siuman!
Cikgu : Cukup! Cukup!
Murid : Kurang! Kurang!
Cikgu : Sudah! Sudah!
Murid : Belum! Belum!
Cikgu : Mengapa kamu semua bodoh sangat?
Murid : Sebab saya seorang pandai!
Cikgu : Oh! Melawan!
Murid : Oh! Mengalah!
Cikgu : Kurang ajar!
Murid : Cukup ajar!
Touchy
Romans 8:28
For all things work together for those who love God and have been called according to His purpose.
The brand new pastor and his wife, newly assigned
to their first ministry, to reopen a church
in suburban Brooklyn , arrived in early October
excited about their opportunities When they saw
their church, it was very run down and needed
much work. They set a goal to have everything
done in time to have their first service
on Christmas Eve.
T hey worked hard, repairing pews, plastering walls,
painting, etc, and on December 18
were ahead of schedule and just about finished.
On December 19 a terrible tempest - a driving
rainstorm hit the area and lasted for two days.
O n the 21st, the pastor went over to the church.
His heart sank when he saw that the roof had
leaked, causing a large area of plaster about
20 feet by 8 feet to fall off the front wall of the
sanctuary just behind the pulpit, beginning about
head high.
T he pastor cleaned up the mess on the floor,
and not knowing what else to do but postpone
the Christmas Eve service, headed home.
On the way he noticed that a local business was
having a flea market type sale for charity so he
stopped in. One of the items was a beautiful,
handmade, ivory colored, crocheted tablecloth
with exquisite work, fine colors and a Cross
embroidered right in the center. It was just
the right size to cover up the hole in the front
wall. He bought it and headed back to the church.
B y this time it had started to snow. An older
woman running from the opposite direction was
trying to catch the bus.. She missed it. The pastor
invited her to wait in the warm church for
the next bus 45 minutes later.
She sat in a pew and paid no attention to the pastor
while he got a ladder, hangers, etc., to put
up the tablecloth as a wall tapestry. The pastor
could hardly believe how beautiful it looked and
it covered up the entire problem area.
T hen he noticed the woman walking down the center
aisle. Her face was like a sheet.. 'Pastor,'
she asked, 'where did you get that tablecloth?'
The pastor explained. The woman asked him to check
the lower right corner to see if the initials, EBG were crocheted into
it there. They were. These were the initials of the woman, and she had
made this tablecloth 35 years before, in Austria
T he woman could hardly believe it as the pastor
told how he had just gotten the Tablecloth. The
woman explained that before the war she and
her husband were well-to-do people in Austria .
When the Nazis came, she was forced to leave.
Her husband was going to follow her the next week.
He was captured, sent to prison and never saw her
husband or her home again.
T he pastor wanted to give her the tablecloth;
but she made the pastor keep it for the church.
The pastor insisted on driving her home, that
was the least he could do.. She lived on the other
side of Staten Island and was only in Brooklyn
for the day for a housecleaning job.
W hat a wonderful service they had on Christmas
Eve. The church was almost full. The music and the
spirit were great. At the end of the service, the
pastor and his wife greeted everyone at the door
and many said that they would return.
One older man, whom the pastor recognized
from the neighborhood continued to sit in one of the
pews and stare, and the pastor wondered why he
wasn't leaving.
The man asked him where he got the tablecloth on
the front wall because it was identical to one
that his wife had made years ago when
they lived in Austria before the war and how
could there be two tablecloths so much alike.
H e told the pastor how the Nazis came, how he
forced his wife to flee for her safety and he was
supposed to follow her, but he was arrested and
put in a prison.. He never saw his wife or his home
again all the 35 years in between.
T he pastor asked him if he would allow him to
take him for a little ride. They drove to Staten
Island and to the same house where the pastor
had taken the woman three days earlier.
H e helped the man climb the three flights of
stairs to the woman's apartment, knocked on
the door and he saw the greatest Christmas
reunion he could ever imagine.
T rue Story - submitted by Pastor Rob Reid
Who says God does not work in mysterious ways..
I asked the Lord to bless you as I prayed for
you today, to guide you and protect you as you go
along your way. His love is always with you, His
promises are true, and when we give Him all our
cares you know He will see us through.
So when the road you're traveling on seems
difficult at best.. Just remember I'm here
praying and God will do the rest. Pass this on
to those you want God to bless and don't forget
to send it back to the one who asked God to bless
you first.
W hen there is nothing left but God, that is when
you find out that God is all you need. Take 60
seconds and give this a shot! All you do is simply
say the following small prayer for the person
who sent you this.
Father, God, bless all my friends and family in what
ever it is that You know they may be needing this
day! May their life be full of your peace,
prosperity and power as he/she seeks to have a
closer relationship with you.
Amen.
praying and God will do the rest. Pass this on
to those you want God to bless and don't forget
to send it back to the one who asked God to bless
you first.
W hen there is nothing left but God, that is when
you find out that God is all you need. Take 60
seconds and give this a shot! All you do is simply
say the following small prayer for the person
who sent you this.
Father, God, bless all my friends and family in what
ever it is that You know they may be needing this
day! May their life be full of your peace,
prosperity and power as he/she seeks to have a
closer relationship with you.
Amen.
OMG!
*I received it through mail
The story rea l l y touched me and I hope it wi l l touch your heart too !
I was wa l king around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this l itt l e boy some money back.
The boy cou l dn't have been more than 5 or 6 years o l d..
The Cashier said, 'I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this do l l .'
Then the l itt l e boy turned to the o l d woman next to him: ''Granny,
are you sure I don't have enough money?''
The o l d l ady rep l ied: ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy this do l l , my dear.''
Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes whi l e she went to l ook a round. She l eft quick l y.
The l itt l e boy was sti l l ho l ding the do l l in his hand.
Fina l l y, I wa l ked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this do l l to.
'It's the do l l that my sister l oved most and wanted so much for Christmas.
She was sure that Santa C l aus wou l d bring it to her.'
I rep l ied to him that maybe Santa C l aus wou l d bring it to her after a l l , and not to worry.
But he rep l ied to me sad l y. 'No, Santa C l aus can't bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the do l l to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there.'
His eyes were so sad whi l e saying this. 'My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she cou l d take the do l l with her to give it to my sister.''
My heart near l y stopped.
The l itt l e boy l ooked up at me and said: 'I to l d daddy to te l l mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait unti l I come back from the ma l l .'
Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was l aughing. He then to l d me 'I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won't forget me.'
'I l ove my mommy and I wish she doesn't have to l eave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my l itt l e sister.'
Then he l ooked again at the do l l with sad eyes, very quiet l y.
I quick l y reached for my wa l l et and said to the boy. 'Suppose we check
again, just in case you do have enough money for the do l l ?''
'OK' he said, 'I hope I do have enough.' I added some of my money to his with out him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the do l l and even some spare money.
The l itt l e boy said: 'Thank you God for giving me enough money!'
Then he l ooked at me and added, 'I asked l ast night before I went to s l eep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this do l l , so that mommy cou l d give It to my sister. He heard me!''
'I a l so wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn't dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the do l l and a white rose.''
'My mommy l oves white roses.'
A few minutes l ater, the o l d l ady returned and I l eft with my basket.
I finished my shopping in a tota l l y different state from when I started.
I cou l dn't get the l itt l e boy out of my mind.
Then I remembered a l oca l news paper artic l e two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young
woman and a l itt l e gir l .
The l itt l e gir l died right away, and the mother was l eft in a critica l
state. The fami l y had to decide whether to pu l l the p l ug on the
l ife-sustaining machine, because the young woman wou l d not be ab l e to recover from the coma.
Was this the fami l y of the l itt l e boy?
Two days after this encounter with the l itt l e boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.
I cou l dn't stop myse l f as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funera l home where the body of the young woman was exposed for peop l e to see and make l ast wishes before her buria l .
She was there, in her coffin, ho l ding a beautifu l white rose in her hand with the photo of the l itt l e boy and the do l l p l aced over her chest.
I l eft the p l ace, teary-eyed, fee l ing that my l ife had been changed for ever.. The l ove that the l itt l e boy had for his mother and his sister is
sti l l , to this day, hard to imagine.
And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken a l l this away from him.
The va l ue of a man or woman resides in what he or she gives, not in what they are capab l e of receiving...repost it as a story that touches your heart.
i was pondering upon that subject when i suddenly remembered... there are temples(any kind, any religion) in Malaysia... going vegetarion..
*i've never experience it though...
what does it really mean?
then.. i was passing a restaurant one day when i saw!!! it.. promoting it's menu..
high up in the sky... in front of the entrance.. on the banner.. high-lighted..
VEGETARION MEAT FOR SALE!!!
huh?
vegetarion meat?
is there such stuffs..
not that i don't know of such thing la.. but.. to think about it.. *sigh* what's the point?
REALLY!!! VEGETARION MEAT?
who(the vegetarion) in the right mind to eat meat? even though it's made out of flour, chemicals/organic stuffs or what ever's added into it WITH !!!MEAT!!! flavouring in it...?
aren't vegetarions supposed to eat only vegetables sans the meat.. especially red meat...?
my point is .. why eat meat.. even though it's made out of non-meat product.. except for the flavouring.. i suspects it's of esther.. synthesis chemicals.. for the smell and taste..
but.. what's the use of going vegetarion and still having indulge in the smell and taste of it?
This is just my view on the topic.. don't take offence please..
Aicks!
LOL! i'm back... 2nd time today... haha
surely.. everyone would have wanted to live... do u?
is it true anyone.. including ur friends, family, even stranger... have strong will to live..?
is it true that... also.. our future is 100% in our hands...?
how so?
do u believe in the exsistance of a God? or u prefer to be an atheist.(full-stop) ... really?
-from wikepedia.. ( i was lazy to go looking in the dictionary)
Atheism, as an explicit position, can be either the affirmation of the nonexistence of gods, or the rejection of theism.It is also defined more broadly as an absence of belief in deities, or nontheism.
but then.. think.. would u?
to even life.. u have to believe something... either in life? or yourself?
by believing, having faith, trusting....
you're doing what someone with a religion would do... -believing- in some kind of way...
either in believing in yourself... or any other things... principles, moral, way of life... you are believing these kind of things AS your God.. letting them take the lead in your life...
e.t.c., e.t.c, e.t.c..... (use your logic?)
So... if you believe there's such a thing call belief... should atheism be used to discribe u( self proclaimed athiest)?
Craze.. on Brown Sugar?
Out of a Sudden.. i like brown sugar...
Brown sugar is a sucrose sugar product with a distinctive brown color due to the presence of molasses. It is either an unrefined or partially refined soft sugar consisting of sugar crystals with some residual molasses content or produced by the addition of molasses to refined white sugar.
Brown sugar contains from 3.5% molasses (light brown sugar) to 6.5% molasses (dark brown sugar). The product is naturally moist from the hygroscopic nature of the molasses and is often labelled as "soft." The product may undergo processing to give a product that flows better for industrial handling. The addition of dyes and/or other chemicals may be permitted in some areas or for industrial products.
Particle size is variable but generally less than granulated white sugar. Products for industrial use (e.g. the industrial production of cakes) may be based on caster sugar which has crystals of approximately 0.35 mm.
- i find the taste nicer than normal one.. a bit more natural....
had it with tea, apple(green) hmm.. anything i could think of
try it... it's nice
BTW...
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
lol.. here's an explantion on it.. from wikipedia
The DIFFERENCE
Science and God
'Let me explain the problem science has with Jesus Christ.' The atheist
professor of philosophy pauses before his class and then asks one of his
new students to stand.
'You're a Christian, aren't you, son?'
'Yes sir,' the student says.
'So you believe in God?'
'Absolutely.'
'Is God good?'
'Sure! God's good.'
'Is God all-powerful? Can God do anything?'
'Yes.'
'Are you good or evil?'
'The Bible says I'm evil.'
The professor grins knowingly. 'Aha! The Bible!' He considers for a
moment.
'Here's one for you. Let's say there's a sick person over here and you
can cure him. You can do it. Would you help him? Would you try?'
'Yes ! sir, I would.'
'So you're good...!'
'I wouldn't say that.'
'But why not say that? You'd help a sick and maimed person if
you could. Most of us would if we could. But God doesn't.'
The student does not answer, so the professor continues. 'He
doesn't, does he? My brother was a Christian who died of cancer, even
though he prayed to Jesus to heal him How is this Jesus good? Hmmm? Can
you answer that one?'
The student remains silent.
'No, you can't, can you?' the professor says. He takes a sip of
water from a glass on his desk to give the student time to relax.
'Let's start again, young fella Is God good?'
'Er...yes,' the student says.
'Is Satan good?'
The student doesn't hesitate on this one. 'No.'
'Then where does Satan come from?'
The student : 'From...God...'
'That's right. God made Satan, didn't he? Tell me, son. Is there
evil in this world?'
'Yes, sir.'
'Evil's everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything,
cor rect?'
'Yes.'
'So who created evil?' The professor continued, 'If God created
everything, then God created evil, since evil exists, and according to
the principle that our works define who we are, then God is evil.'
Without allowing the student to answer, the professor continues:
'Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible
things, do they exist in this world?'
The student: 'Yes.'
'So who created them?'
The student does not answer again, so the professor repeats his
question. 'Who created them? There is still no answer. Suddenly the
lecturer breaks away to pace in front of the classroom. The class is
mesmerized.
'Tell me,' he continues onto another student. 'Do you believe in
Jesus Christ, son?'
The student's voice is confident: 'Yes, professor, I do.'
The old man stops pacing. 'Science says you have five senses you
use to identify and observe the world aroun! d you. Have you ever seen
Jesus?'
'No sir. I've never seen Him'
'Then tell us if you've ever heard your Jesus?'
'No, sir, I have not.'
'Have you ever actually felt your Jesus, tasted your Jesus or
smelt your Jesus? Have you ever had any sensory perception of Jesus
Christ, or God for that matter?'
'No, sir, I'm afraid I haven't.'
'Yet you still believe in him?'
'Yes.'
'According to the rules of empirical, testable, demonstrable
protocol, science says your God doesn't exist. What do you say to that,
son?'
'Nothing,' the student replies. 'I only have my faith.'
'Yes, faith,' the professor repeats. 'And that is the problem
science has with God. There is no evidence, only faith.'
The student stands quietly for a moment, before asking a
question of his own. 'Professor, is there such thing as heat?'
'Yes,' the professor replies. 'There's heat.'
'And is there such a thing as cold?'
'Yes, son, there's cold too.'
'No sir, there isn't.'
The professor turns to face the student, obviously interested.
The room suddenly becomes very quiet. The student begins to explain.
'You can have lots of heat, even more heat, super-heat,
mega-heat, unlimited heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat, but we
don't have anything called 'cold'. We can hit up to 458 degrees below
zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is
no such thing as cold; otherwise we would be able to go colder than the
lowest -458 degrees. Every body or object is susceptible to study when
it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have
or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-458 F) is the total absence of heat.
You see, sir, cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of
heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat we can measure in thermal units
because heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the
absence of it.'
Silence across the room. A pen drops somewhere in the classroom,
sounding like a hammer.
'What about darkness, professor. Is there such a thing as
darkness?'
'Yes,' the professor replies without hesitation. 'What is night
if it isn't darkness?'
'You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is not something; it is the
absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright
light, flashing light, but if you have no light constantly you have
Nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? That's the meaning we use to
define the word. In reality, darkness isn't. If it were, you would be able
to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?'
The professor begins to smile at the student in front of him.
This will be a good semester. 'So what point are you making, young man?'
'Yes, professor. My point is, your philosophical premise is
flawed to start with, and so your conclusion must also be flawed.'
The professor's face c! annot hide his surprise this time.
'Flawed? Can you explain how?'
'You are working on the premise of duality,' the student
explains. 'You argue that there is life and then there's death; a good
God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something
finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a
thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much
less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life
is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive
thing. Death is not the opposite of life, just the absence of it.'
'Now tell me, professor. Do you teach your students that they
evolved from a monkey?'
'If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, young
man, yes, of course I do'
'Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?'
The professor begins to shake his head, still smiling, as he
realizes where the argument is going. A very good semester, indeed.
'Sinc! e no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work
and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you
not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you now not a scientist, but a
preacher?'
The class is in uproar. The student remains silent until the
Commotion has subsided.
'To continue the point you were making earlier to the other
student, let me give you an example of what I mean.'
The student looks around the room. 'Is there anyone in the class
who has ever seen the professor's brain?' The class breaks out into
laughter.
'Is there anyone here who has ever heard the professor's brain,
felt the professor's brain, touched or smelled the professor's brain? No
one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of
empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no
brain, with all due respect, sir. So if science says you have no brain,
how can we trust! your lectures, sir?'
Now the room is silent. The professor jus t stares at the
student, his face unreadable.
Finally, after what seems an eternity, the old man answers. 'I
guess you'll have to take them on faith.'
'Now, you accept that there is faith, and, in fact, faith exists
with life,' the student continues. 'Now, sir, is there such a thing as
evil?'
Now uncertain, the professor responds, 'Of course, there is. We
see it everyday. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man.
It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world.
These manifestations are nothing else but evil.'
To this the student replied, 'Evil does not exist sir, or at
least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God.
It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe
the absence of God.
God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when
man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold
tha! t comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there
is no light.'
The professor sat down.
Pass this on if you have faith in God.
If not, still pass it on for it's a good story!
*i'm just passing on this story...
'Let me explain the problem science has with Jesus Christ.' The atheist
professor of philosophy pauses before his class and then asks one of his
new students to stand.
'You're a Christian, aren't you, son?'
'Yes sir,' the student says.
'So you believe in God?'
'Absolutely.'
'Is God good?'
'Sure! God's good.'
'Is God all-powerful? Can God do anything?'
'Yes.'
'Are you good or evil?'
'The Bible says I'm evil.'
The professor grins knowingly. 'Aha! The Bible!' He considers for a
moment.
'Here's one for you. Let's say there's a sick person over here and you
can cure him. You can do it. Would you help him? Would you try?'
'Yes ! sir, I would.'
'So you're good...!'
'I wouldn't say that.'
'But why not say that? You'd help a sick and maimed person if
you could. Most of us would if we could. But God doesn't.'
The student does not answer, so the professor continues. 'He
doesn't, does he? My brother was a Christian who died of cancer, even
though he prayed to Jesus to heal him How is this Jesus good? Hmmm? Can
you answer that one?'
The student remains silent.
'No, you can't, can you?' the professor says. He takes a sip of
water from a glass on his desk to give the student time to relax.
'Let's start again, young fella Is God good?'
'Er...yes,' the student says.
'Is Satan good?'
The student doesn't hesitate on this one. 'No.'
'Then where does Satan come from?'
The student : 'From...God...'
'That's right. God made Satan, didn't he? Tell me, son. Is there
evil in this world?'
'Yes, sir.'
'Evil's everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything,
cor rect?'
'Yes.'
'So who created evil?' The professor continued, 'If God created
everything, then God created evil, since evil exists, and according to
the principle that our works define who we are, then God is evil.'
Without allowing the student to answer, the professor continues:
'Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible
things, do they exist in this world?'
The student: 'Yes.'
'So who created them?'
The student does not answer again, so the professor repeats his
question. 'Who created them? There is still no answer. Suddenly the
lecturer breaks away to pace in front of the classroom. The class is
mesmerized.
'Tell me,' he continues onto another student. 'Do you believe in
Jesus Christ, son?'
The student's voice is confident: 'Yes, professor, I do.'
The old man stops pacing. 'Science says you have five senses you
use to identify and observe the world aroun! d you. Have you ever seen
Jesus?'
'No sir. I've never seen Him'
'Then tell us if you've ever heard your Jesus?'
'No, sir, I have not.'
'Have you ever actually felt your Jesus, tasted your Jesus or
smelt your Jesus? Have you ever had any sensory perception of Jesus
Christ, or God for that matter?'
'No, sir, I'm afraid I haven't.'
'Yet you still believe in him?'
'Yes.'
'According to the rules of empirical, testable, demonstrable
protocol, science says your God doesn't exist. What do you say to that,
son?'
'Nothing,' the student replies. 'I only have my faith.'
'Yes, faith,' the professor repeats. 'And that is the problem
science has with God. There is no evidence, only faith.'
The student stands quietly for a moment, before asking a
question of his own. 'Professor, is there such thing as heat?'
'Yes,' the professor replies. 'There's heat.'
'And is there such a thing as cold?'
'Yes, son, there's cold too.'
'No sir, there isn't.'
The professor turns to face the student, obviously interested.
The room suddenly becomes very quiet. The student begins to explain.
'You can have lots of heat, even more heat, super-heat,
mega-heat, unlimited heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat, but we
don't have anything called 'cold'. We can hit up to 458 degrees below
zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is
no such thing as cold; otherwise we would be able to go colder than the
lowest -458 degrees. Every body or object is susceptible to study when
it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have
or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-458 F) is the total absence of heat.
You see, sir, cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of
heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat we can measure in thermal units
because heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the
absence of it.'
Silence across the room. A pen drops somewhere in the classroom,
sounding like a hammer.
'What about darkness, professor. Is there such a thing as
darkness?'
'Yes,' the professor replies without hesitation. 'What is night
if it isn't darkness?'
'You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is not something; it is the
absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright
light, flashing light, but if you have no light constantly you have
Nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? That's the meaning we use to
define the word. In reality, darkness isn't. If it were, you would be able
to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?'
The professor begins to smile at the student in front of him.
This will be a good semester. 'So what point are you making, young man?'
'Yes, professor. My point is, your philosophical premise is
flawed to start with, and so your conclusion must also be flawed.'
The professor's face c! annot hide his surprise this time.
'Flawed? Can you explain how?'
'You are working on the premise of duality,' the student
explains. 'You argue that there is life and then there's death; a good
God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something
finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a
thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much
less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life
is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive
thing. Death is not the opposite of life, just the absence of it.'
'Now tell me, professor. Do you teach your students that they
evolved from a monkey?'
'If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, young
man, yes, of course I do'
'Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?'
The professor begins to shake his head, still smiling, as he
realizes where the argument is going. A very good semester, indeed.
'Sinc! e no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work
and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you
not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you now not a scientist, but a
preacher?'
The class is in uproar. The student remains silent until the
Commotion has subsided.
'To continue the point you were making earlier to the other
student, let me give you an example of what I mean.'
The student looks around the room. 'Is there anyone in the class
who has ever seen the professor's brain?' The class breaks out into
laughter.
'Is there anyone here who has ever heard the professor's brain,
felt the professor's brain, touched or smelled the professor's brain? No
one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of
empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no
brain, with all due respect, sir. So if science says you have no brain,
how can we trust! your lectures, sir?'
Now the room is silent. The professor jus t stares at the
student, his face unreadable.
Finally, after what seems an eternity, the old man answers. 'I
guess you'll have to take them on faith.'
'Now, you accept that there is faith, and, in fact, faith exists
with life,' the student continues. 'Now, sir, is there such a thing as
evil?'
Now uncertain, the professor responds, 'Of course, there is. We
see it everyday. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man.
It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world.
These manifestations are nothing else but evil.'
